While training is ongoing, the following is required for full membership in  WCSAR

• Take the Basic Search and Rescue (BASAR) course online or when available, taught in our classroom by qualified instructors
• Pass both the BASAR written and practical tests
• Pass a phyiscal fitness test
• Take the Incident Command Systems (ICS) 100 course
• Obtain and/or maintain a current First Aid/CPR card
